I am thinking that Tesla wanted a deal with CXO on their terms which may have been to buy lithium way under current prices.Management probably realised it could sell its uncontracted lithium at auction prices. Therefore Tesla didn’t want to pay what CXO wanted so walked away.A win for CXO shareholders I say.
