SECTION 135: (1) Further to the provisions of this law, any mining and quarry operation undertaken must comply with the laws and regulations in force relating to sustainable environmental protection and management.

(2) Apart from the non-industrial mining licence, the exploration permit and the licence for non-industrial quarry mining for domestic purposes, the granting of mining titles, quarry licences and permits shall be subject to the prior conduct of an environmental and social impact assessment, a hazard and risk assessment and provision of an environmental management plan as provided for by the laws and regulations in force in matters relating to the protection and sustainable management of the environment.

Fact ....CAY only received the Certificate of Environmental Compliance on 24 October 2022. Surely potential suitors or JV partners will not commit prior to the issuance of this Certificate of Environmental Compliance.

Fact ....." A commitment by Canyon to present one or more technical and financial partners to the State of Cameroon prior to the execution of the Mining Convention."

IMO, the timing of JS' current visit to Cameroon is very interesting. Has the CAY gate shut yet? We will find out tomorrow.

I'll repeat myself for the 20th time Pika, fact 2 was closed out over 12 months ago, letter of financial support was issued to the government, thanks to our Chinese partnership that was created just for that purpose. But I do think that partnership is done and dusted after the BFS debacle.
