Well that surprises me too NoLeafClover. SFR up for the day after a CR.
I sold down part of my holdings to take up the entitlement on the open.
My investment policy at the moment is to not buy any more shares and increase cash gradually/opportunistically. Having been doing this for past 6 months.
With financial conditions tightening globally I think it probable that asset and commodity prices will go down over the next 12 months. Long term optimistic on Copper, short term bearish.
So given this I think it prudent SFR has done this CR but expect share price weakness over the short and medium term, so will keep same qty of shares with slight increase in cash / for net dilution and decrease in financial risk.
The bull case is that SFR has become the pure copper play on the ASX with OZL being gobbled. SFR has much more risk than OZL and is priced accordingly.
I would prefer they develop an australian operation, aussie companies have poor track record in mining in other juridictions.
