Just a quick comment on AnteoTech, as mentioned by @LiveInZen36 ...
AnteoX, one of their products, is a binder for anodes, which are usually made largely of graphite. AnteoX allows some degree of flexibility that enables silicon to be incorporated into the anode, thereby enhancing performance. AFAIK, AnteoX doesn't affect the amount of lithium required in the battery.
R&D into battery performance is surely happening in Australia, see especially the Future Battery Industry CRC (www.fbicrc.com.au), but it's always a long journey into commercialisation, and always good, in my experience, to have experienced partners.
