I agree with you in terms of SP. Even after the prices is agreed, with that transaction amount, it might require few stakeholders involvement, such as government parties and ORG shareholders (employee, institution, retails, etc.), in order for the buyout to be completed.
My Opinion: the longer the agreement to be made, I reckon the price will go higher. Few factors:
- Gas price (affect the earning from APLNG).
- less debt (APLNG contribution has been quite significant in reducing ORG debts and they've been quite discipline so far),
- potential volume of retail customers increase (octopus system post implementation have shown the increase),
- asset sale (non-productive assets as it requires money to develop),
- increase renewable portfolios (solar, etc.). this one will open access to funding from financial institution who're aligned with less-carbon initiatives.
