So? They are genuine shares that they have purchased first. Its not 'naked shorting' or creating out of nothing.

You might as well say the entire run up over the last few weeks was due to them buying the shares. And you forget that this company is lending the shares, the people borrowing from them will have to buy back.

I have major issues with how futures trade to impact a physical market. That is not what is occuring here. In short (pun intended) let them do what they will, have every confidence that evn runs a good business and those bettting on its downfall are only going to add more fuel (when they have to buy back) to a runup.

Also state st lend the shares, they still have an interest in them and an incentive to have their shares worth more by encouraging those short sellers, then squeezing them out...
