About time Donny woke up & smelt the coffee beans. WPL's loss was Shell's gain in the recent Arrow deal & with BG finalising the deal with CNOOC (which was actually initiated on 13/5/09), the landscape will shift on the east coast. Already XOM-STO-OSH have locked in longterm LNG deals, so look fwd to the multi-billion $'s frm those.

IMO, WPL targetting Santos could b a great move, but they could have some serious competition. We haven't heard much since the majors visited the Santos dataroom last year.

Some of us have known for all these years about the 'deeper' Patchawarra coal, Santos has in the Cooper, not to mention their Moomba & Ballera gas processing facilities in SA & QLD.

Late last year Santos successfully trialled fracc'ing a deep coal seam in the Cooper. So time to jump on the CSG bandwagon Donny. Remember, Shell has a 34.27% stake in Woodside as per their recent results.
