Russia has sponsored and protected criminals for decades. Like China there are teams of these thieves working 24/7 to exploit company and government data for extortion, theft and blackmail.
To dismiss it as "peddling hatred" trivialises the organised criminal behaviour.
We don't hate them, just recognise they are evil criminals.
There have been half a dozen hacks of Australian companies in just the last month. These crims are supported and protected by the Russian government.
