Great write and appreciate the break down.
Eagerly await the revised State Gas Policy to be announced, I realise it's not a simple transcript to deliver, but the uncertainty is very concerning, and government need to deliver soon, even if it's open ended, industry require some clarification and guidance.
Bit of M&A in the basin got everyone's attention, with regard to NWE it would appear to be very difficult for a third party to present for all the reasons we know and that leaves us with MIN (better the devil you know) who have now expressed interest in the consolidation situation currently on offer in the PB. The last company to also express interest in expanding in Australia & NZ was none other than Beach Energy.
More to come without doubt.

Who knows how the PB consolidations will play out, but what we do know is the significant importance of the PB gas resource - and really the region is only in early stage, and it is shaping up like a globally important asset, just ask the PM of Japan.
I think NWE are extremely well managed and that management have found the company in an extraordinary position and to make it even better the company position is not hanging by a thread, it is strong, functioning and funded and is up for the progression.
