"Australia's biggest energy company, Woodside Petroleum Ltd, is reported to be eyeing a bid for the country's third largest player, Santos Ltd.
According to reports carried by Fairfax Media on Thursday, Woodside is "rumoured" to be considering a $15 billion bid for Santos, largely to give it a stronger position in the Queensland gas export industry."
