CFO well paid but then left and from Linkedin it doesn't appear as if he had a job to go to. Grant appeared to play a major role in the GTC merger and was going to oversee it, then stepped down from the board. Peter Johns brought on to board and there was an odd mention in the recent media article that ex-CFO had been in contact with Peter Johns. Looks like a lot of boardroom conflict.
Then this merger announcement. No obvious leadership, and strategy now completely unclear. The AFL share market today is likely to be very unstable and I would have thought a trading halt on ASX would have been requested prior to a really clear announcement as to background and future direction and strategy. All shareholders and market participants will then be in the picture and it would avoid a false market, particularly as some will now know a lot more than others right now.
