LJ and RF hashed this fiasco out long ago. GMD were talking to NTM about a take over the same time DCN was talking to NTM.
RF & LJ have personal history and RF let DCN have it knowing that GMD was going to get DCN (or that was the plan anyway, but someone through a spanner into the works).
All part of the regional consolidation plan they hashed.
LJ had to exit stage left and leave it to his shining star, but I reckon RF is still getting advice at dinner parties.
