It's astounding, isn't it? The level of delusion in the TNT threads really is something to behold. Yesterday I started typing out a post explaining why no one would have any remote interest in acquiring TNT in a takeover, there's just so much to discuss there, but it quickly became clear that it was just going to be one of those posts people hate and I'd be accused of rambling. People in delusion absolutely hate having their delusion pointed out.

In a nutshell, TNT took a risky strategy conglomerating all these companies together and it has gone far, far worse than they hoped. If someone takes a risk and no one really knows how it's going to go, plenty of people will be keenly watching. Some may expect it to go well and put skin in the game, some will sit back and learn for free, but if it's looking worse than expected, a big company which can afford to spend almost $200M (about what it would cost to buy TNT out these days) isn't going to throw that money at an experiment which just isn't going all that well, especially given that getting rid of current management and putting in a new one is going to cause further disruption to all these companies which have already recently undergone restructuring.

Entities with hundreds of millions of dollars to throw around generally understand that it is much better to pay $300-400M for a sure thing than $200M at a risky proposition likely to have marginal value and possibly negative value. They're also in a position where they could simply replicate TNT's own strategy if that's what they wanted to do. TNT hasn't really created anything, they've just bought up a whole lot of preexisting things in the hope that they would be able to manage them in a way which dramatically improved them. Why would someone else want to buy this whole project at this point? It's just a silly suggestion.

I doubt TNT will end up sub 1c though, unless the figures are catastrophically worse than what they're showing us, which I hugely doubt, or if they get into a huge dilution cycle, which I suppose is possible but it would take years to get that low (then again, some here tend to think about 5-10 year time frames rather than the shorter ones I tend to look at, and yes, sub 1c is possible within 5-10 years). At worst I think the cash flow will be marginal, which should allow TNT to maintain a market cap of at least around $100M for least a couple of years, and even with heavy dilution this would keep the share price above 2-3c, and that's IMHO worst case scenario in any reasonable likelihood. I do still see the possibility of 20-30c+ in the long term, and with a lot of luck 9.2c might have been the low.
