The impact of shorting or more importantly the availability of shares for lending to short sellers needs to be considered when looking at share price movements for LKE, CXO, SYA and other stocks.

People need to be aware what brokers provide share lending facility, I understand that CMC Markets provides lending and shorting while Selfwealth does not.

What's interesting is that in the last few days CMC Markets is transitioning investors from ANZ share investments and a few months ago CMC made a good offer to get clients of eSuper from other brokers to CMC. This potentially makes more shares available for lending through CMC.
