My contention is anything that is erratic cannot be assumed to be normalised....the closest erratic comes to normal would be organised chaos...a sheetload of disorder, but no apparent organisation, but an unexpected agreeable outcome (depending on the audience).
I'm no Socrates, Plato or Aristotle, but they were ancients; primitives by our measure who didn't have the benefit of modern civilisations and accumulated practical/emperical knowledge base.
