Bushveld own and operate 2 of the 4 primary vanadium mines currently operating in the world. Their planned expansion is no threat to AVLs project.
The main differences between vanadium and lithium: - vanadium is about 10 years behind on the demand/cost efficiencies curve - vanadium can be produced as a by-product of other processes - vanadium electrolyte can be reused indefinitely, unlike lithium.
As far as the need for primary production of vanadium goes, the demand will be exponential, just as it was with lithium. The idea that there is only room for another one or two new vanadium mines is very short-sighted.
