It is impossible to get to a meaningful and attractive off-take deal without being able to provide a few things:
1. The analysis of the chemical composition of the proposed product. Currently known.
2. The quantity to be produced.
3. The required capital necessary to get into production.
4. A reasonably firm date for commencement of production.
All these will be made known in the Scoping study which should be finalised by end January.
1 and 2 are required by any purchaser as they need to know if the product offered is compatible with their production facilities and processes.
4. is necessary for the purchaser to determine if the production schedule will meet the scheduling requirements.
3. is necessary for any meaningful negotiation for the purchaser to provide the capital to get underway.
I know that all this is frustrating, but it is better to get things done properly in the beginning, than to rush ahead and run off the rails half-way through the construction phase.
