How many Directors does a $5M company need?

Not too long ago, CBY had two (or was it three) directors and solid prospects but not going anywhere. Now CBY has 5 directors and has solid prospects but still not going anywhere.
In between the two regimes, a JV has been entered into for a copper porphyry prospect in Queensland, that is nothing to shout out about but may succeed in the end, courtesy of the JV partner's commitment and cash and doing all the work. Otherwise, nothing much has changed.
I have to ask the question, why does CBY need 5 directors all receiving remuneration and options? There are other explorers with much higher MCs and fewer directors.
