$12m squandered on on the buyback yesterday. This was probably the most expensive day of price propping so far. $353m out of $400m blown now (88%).
Joyce might have some relief from the overnight buy-the-f***ing-dip session overnight in America. The post-covid stock market gamblers might prop up $QAN on their own today.
But, with inflation that will remain persistent for a long time to come and geopolitics getting worse the future is not good for Qantas. Why anybody would pay record high prices for this shitco in light of multi-decade high inflationary pressures and with severely overdue and significant capex ahead of it with a completely ruined balance sheet that has been stripped of any assets of substance is beyond me. But, hey, that's what the post-covid "everything bubble" has been about. Like every other bubble there is no logic but for some reason only a few can identify them in the midst of the hysteria and crowd induced lunacy.
