My wife and I stayed in a small "guest house" style hotel in easy walking distance of the city centre. I forget the details (it was a while ago), but we just picked it from a Frommer's Guide. It was very good value. Generally speaking, we found the Frommer's Guide reliable in our travels around Europe. We also found English very well spoken by Frankfurters.
