Speculation aside, it does seem strange and contradictory regarding Joel's comments about having the essential funds to run throughout 2023/24 that we are doing a CR now.
One thing is for sure is that they didn't just realise APIMED was a few yards ahead and decided now to raise cash to throw a turbo on the IHL engine to try to beat them for market - they would have been well aware about APIMED much earlier than us, (unless APIMED only recently announced their positive test results.)
Which makes me hope, and I use that word carefully as I can't tell if it's instinct, or anticipation that I have for IHL, BUT, I HOPE that this could be a deeper play, i.e. maybe they're issuing shares to a very interested third party.. I don't want to put my conspiracy hat on, but this in part could explain the bashing of the share price over the last year, let's be real, we have been getting smashed on the back of good news, and after every pump there's a quick short cover..
Could we be waking up to the news on Monday that Novo Nordisk or some other pharma party is buying a small share of IHL via the strategic allocation?
Was that what the strategic allocation could have been intended for in the first place? Unlikely, but who knows.
IHL have a PR team, and each one of Joel's speeches/ addresses have been consistent, there's no way a PR team would let him keep the "we have so much cash" line in there when they knew a CR was around the corner.
Anyone else's thoughts on this? Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it doesn't seem like IHL need cash, and esp not at this price.. could it be a simple clerical error where whoever read Joel's address forgot to underline that segment.. lol
Who knows, but one thing is for sure is that I'm excited for whatever this is going to be on Monday
