if you believe this is similar to the Chinese deposits then you aren't familiar with the technical side of assessing and comparing clay hosted REE opportunities. People in australia aren't reinventing the wheel, they are doing different metallurgical tests because most of the deposits thus far are different to Chinese ones. the ANU REE conference highlighted this. New deposit styles present new metallurgical challenges which need to be addressed with bespoke metallurgy. 10% HCL is very strong and harsh acid test which was designed by Salazar and is not economic. Other WA companies (incl MEK) are using the same test because it was the only thing able to leach Salazar REEs, which are likely the same as all other WA nearology REE deposits. Therefore us serious investors in the sector are still waiting to see evidence of the potential for an economic flow sheet associated with WA REE clay projects. it's all still pretty new and so there is still time for a few metallurgical breakthroughs as people learn to understand this new (ish) deposit style but so far it's been +10 years since discovery of Salazar and still in the ground.
