This is just a clause to prevent BCN from just sitting on the tenement and not actually mining. If BCN gets on with mining then there will be nothing of any value left by the end of 2026 - if they fluff around for the next few years then they lose.
I actually quite like this clause as it would have allowed the upfront cost of the acquisition to be kept lower by making the royalty payment concrete for Geko. A good win-win outcome.
