Driving a model S for 100% to 5% charge daily will quickly degrade the battery. This is what the semi has to do as a work vehicle. 500 miles or more every shift. My opinion is that it has to have new battery tech. Otherwise, Tesla is in for some bad PR when Semis start to lose significant range after 50,000 miles.
