EDIT: replying to coffeekick above
Great research, thanks. The thing about this deal is, even if wellfully goes bust and defaults on all its debts, CD are essentially still coming out ahead. They're offloading a company that currently has 1.6m in debt, supposedly to be paid down to 0.8m before the merger. So let's be charitable and say they do actually bring the debt down $0.8m. They give WFL 600k cash which they're never going to see again (given that WFL is going to go bust) but they still offload a failing company with at least 800k in debt. They still come out 200k ahead, even if their position in WFL goes to zero and WFL defaults on their debt.
