The ongoing references to 'pre disease state' function with DurAVR is the game changer to me.....something the competitors are yet to achieve.
The function of a replacement valve is not (any more) restricted to function measured by performance (how wide it opens and how well it closes) but how close to natural it performs (now measured in blood flow). The anticipated need for anticoagulation with current valve replacements in response to non natural flow suggests that laminar (natural) flow is not available with these procedures.....well we may have just sorted that.
Still in for a bit of a bumpy rise over the coming 12 - 24 months while the current and upcoming studies occur and formal results realised (in my opinion)...but still optimistic.
Not advice - just my 2c ($20 post consolidation) worth.
