"The federal grand jury investigating efforts to overturn the 2020 election has issued subpoenas to a slew of state and county officials for their communications with Donald Trump and other figures in his orbit during his final months in office.
Officials with the office of the clerk of Dane County, Wisc., and Maricopa County, Ariz., confirmed they had received subpoenas connected to the investigation, which is now being overseen by special counsel Jack Smith. The subpoenas, which were issued last month, seek documents and communications they had with 19 people, including Trump himself. A spokeswoman for Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson confirmed that Wayne County, MI had also received a subpoena."
