My experience in business is if something is going to be successful it almost always jumps hard with the starter's gun... KMP has disappointed in this regard.
I agree with you.... if KMP can now rapidly ramp up that would be the priority. That is the easy path.
The alternative is progressing Dubbo which will require deep pockets and well defined commitments from major players. If Dubbo gets a green light ASM doesn't need KMP to work straightaway... it can be allowed to organically grow with demand.
