With limited medical knowledge especially compared with many
here, I am opting for bladder, gastric and colorectal, reason being that I believe these create major challenges to maintain a
normal lifestyle, and they do not seem to be the subject of
as many trials as some of the other cancers. I believe it
makes sense to choose cancers which do not have as
much competition in progression of research.
Regarding incidence of cancer in Australia; my daughter was 25
when she contracted lymphoma and she is 50 now. At that time
it was fairly unusual for persons of her age to have cancer, but
since then, it has become more usual for even young children
to have cancer. And young families often do not have the resources to cover exorbitant medical fees. For that reason I
am very pleased at speed imugene are making with their
trials.
