Regardless of what happens here, this is a good lesson re searching for and identifying bargains in the market. For months and months WGO wallowed around $0.12 per share. Very few investors were interested, albeit WGO already owned 50% of a very attractive gas resource at WE, STX had already made one takeover offer etc. There was also a huge valuation gap WGO vrs STX.
Then suddenly everyone wants WGO!
Successful investing is all about identifying these under-appreciated stocks with attractive risk/reward metrics, buying in before the masses and then waiting for a change in sentiment as the market comes to recognize the stock's real value.
