A small mistake on my end, should have been the exploration expenditure not cost to buy the projects. Purchase of projects and companies would come under investing activities. the exploration costs would come under operating expenses of an exploration company.
but in any case the amount of cash on hand to just have the lights on is multiple quarters, if they don't do any exploration.
