It's been said many times that the Canadian Government is supporting renewable minerals and this link details very thoroughly how and why. Worth a read.

Some things I really appreciated is that the government is committing to building infrastructure to support mine developments in currently unserviced areas (eg roads/power). Further there is commitment to streamline the mining application process to fast track approvals and get mines going. Canada realises that this is a generational opportunity for employment and growth and is committed to pursuing it while honouring Indigenous communities.
