I wouldn’t down play the importance of ESG.
A friend of mine who works at Oz Minerals says one of the driving forces behind the sale to BHP was the high ESG standards of their copper mine. In buying the mine, it will raise BHP’s ESG standards much quicker than they could by making changes to the operations they already have.
Having said that, PLS can provide security of supply, (like no other), as well as complying with world class ESG..
