believe it or not, but a lot of organizations that need high speed broadband, can already have it. watso is happy with his 512kb broadband (but knows that he can get triple the speed for the same price - eg, use telstra for the cheapest phone line option (but 30c for loacal calls) - and then use a fast 1500 kb option. .
watso does not drive a bmw - but is happy with his pushbike. with the nbn, the government seems to think that everybody should drive a bmw. in a way, that is social equality - but someone has to pay. if the government, went knocking on the doors of households, and asked for $10,000, or $20,000 to pay for the nbn - they would be told to "get lost".
