Insider buying is rarely a bad thing for the SP on a stock. This LIC is running at a discount to a discount. According to their October report WAR has a "look through" NTA of $1.27. And that's with 36% held in cash. So basically just closing the gap to the value of the underlying shares in the underlying LIC investments should provide a 25% return. Trouble is > this could be a long wait. On the upside > the yield on this LIC should improve in the short term. Only for the patient investor IMO. Will also be interesting to see if / when they start redeploying some of that cash into the market.
