Today's market activity is unfortunately all too predictable and a reflection of short termers making a quick buck. Those in stm for the end game will not be overly concerned and will continue to accumulate at the expense of those selling now. Gainzmaster made a good point earlier, "forget you own stm and come back in 12-24 months".
