The bizarre thing is that, on the open this morning, someone crossed the spread to take out all the stock on offer at 29.5c.

The only time anyone would do that is if they held a view that an interloper was going to appear and over-bid.

And I'm not sure what would give anyone reason to think that, given the exclusivity provisions (especially the "No Shop, No Talk" clauses) that form part of the Scheme Implementation Agreement.
