And of course, those looking for a stream of income will be attracted by the yield on GNSPA...provided that GNS does not cease payments like Elders did. Can't see it though as it will aslso cease the divs on the ordinaries.

I'm temporarily out of GNSPA having sold in 60's pending greater clarification of their position.

FWIW, I think these matters need attending:

(1) Give the instos their "win" by replacing certain board members who have become stale in any event. A new injection of fresh blood and ideas will give GNS a shot in the arm.
(2)Probably shelve the pulp mill for five years whilst concentration is given to the other arms of the business. In other words, concentrate in our geographic area and take advantage of the debacles that have befallen the likes of TIM etc.
(3) Write off the capitalised costs of Bells Bay. It will hurt but let's get it out of the way in one hit.
(4) An institutional placement and a further SPP to recapitalise the balance sheet.
(5) Appoint a very strong PR department that can neutralise the greenies and miscreant HC posters who don't hold shares and have their own agendas completely opposite to anything commercial.
(6) Round up ZWU and the other sad-sacks and take them for a one way trip into the forest where they can study trees and one-eyed wombats at close quarters for the term of their natural lives! I see this as a win-win! :) (Watch them come after me for this!!!)
