My family were invited to this country to work hard and build the "common wealth", and they did. A wealth now taken for granted.

The early settlers came to an empty country; it was "terra nullius". The inhabitants were savage and cruel to one another, they hadn't a common language, writing or the wheel.

The argument that it wasn't "Terra Nullius" relies on a settlement of Polynesians on Thursday Island having a form of land ownership recognised by their tribe. By some very convoluted logic this was then applied to mainland Australia.

The aboriginals were lucky the British colonised this empty land. Do they think it was going to remain unsettled? Would they prefer the French, Dutch,Belgians, Muslims or Japanese ?

We have turned the cheek too long to those, like the Channel 10 advertisers, who insult the memory of our hard working settlers.

It's time we normal people fought back against this continual attempt to erode accepted norms.

I don't watch free to air TV but would be happy to make a silent boycott against advertises if they were listed.
