wasnt it telstra that helped develop the cochlear implant now labour is trying to destroy them one of the last areas left for australia to expand beyond digging up minerals. i used to be in plastics manufacturing sold out years ago tooling now in china and still have some contact with local business people and very sad to hear their stories as they dont want to go oversaes but things like land tax,electricity rates etc etc etc make it inevitable
