I spoke with Richard Tegoni directly regarding these articles. Heres his word for word response.
"Unfortunately the ABC article floating around is incorrect and misleading about FOGO bags for food waste. The EPA have banned hard compostable products that use a chemical called PFAS. PFAS is used in the production of compostable products such as plates, cups etc however SECOS does not use PFAS in its compostable formulation and our bin liners are still accepted in FOGO bins in NSW."
Seems we are in the clear.
