The ACCC, the Anti Consumer Competition Council has decided that having expensive infrastructure repeated three times in remote parts of Australia is good for competition. Its a mad world we live in.
The solution now is for Telstra to spin off it's bush towers and associated infrastructure in to a separate company that can then provide the infrastructure access to all three mobile companies. Being a quasi monopoly, this would be the ideal company for superannuation funds to own.
I suppose TPG will go in to freefall now. Thanks ACCC.
