Not practical or desirable. The assets would instead need to be liquidated and distributed.
Many of the start up investee companies would not relish having hundreds of small investors, nor would many of PVLs shareholders relish having tiny parcels in opaque illiquid startups.
Some of these startups can operate with simplified reporting rules etc provided they have less than I think it is 20 shareholders.
This remains a basket case, but things can still be made worse, eg by such suggested action.
