I've thought about this a lot over the last couple of years. the only explanation I can come up with is that the ore sorter delivers such reduced costs to beneficiate ore compared to traditional wet methods that they know they will be profitable. it presumably has cost savings through a reduced environmental impact of tailings management, water management and chemicals.
