I have to agree with you there.
When I was in grade one, I had a dark friend.
ALSO
I didn't want to go to Sunday school at 2pm. I had to stay clean and not play in the dirt.
Racism and religion are both taught, along with love and hate.
So there is hope.
Nobody can make you feel inferior unless you let them.
Nelson Mandela comes to mind.
