That is true, however my own experience would suggest otherwise. Almost four years ago our city had major flooding, we were evacuated, although our home was not flooded, neighbours around us were, we had no cause to make a claim. Consequently our premium has risen astronomically and efforts to insure with another company were met with refusals except Suncorp who were prepared to insure us , for a minimum of 1.5 million. I've now sold all my SUN shares.
