The picture of concern is of parcels piling up in a Beijing street. Allegedly according to the media, mainland Chinese movement of parcels is collapsing.
I don't know if it extends to full container loads but with so many people becoming sick, and the other issue of the healthy having to look after elderly relatives who may be at risk of death, logic suggests it may have.
If so, there will be implications in time for QUB.
Fewer loaded containers may be sent on ships from mainland China as manufacturers find it harder to process orders. Ports over there may be unable to accept as many empty containers from Australia. Many businesses in Australia may eventually run short of stock of either finished goods or Chinese-made essential inputs into a production process.
QUB employees and contractors may have less work. Will this require employees to be stood down and contracts varied by force majeure?
One doesn't want to be alarmist, but the lies the CCP continually tells (or important information it omits, such as claiming 'no' or 'hardly any' deaths attributable to COVID) do not fill one with confidence.
