Sorry for this obtuse question ( which I suspect has been asked multiple times in multiple places in the past) Background: A relative has recently died (had an excellent life and a smooth pain free death in her 90s) She bought CBA shares with initial float, did employ dividend reinvestment and shredded records regularly The Estate now has the shares to sell or send to inheritors. I have found good records from Link Market Services back to 28/3/2002
The question: Can someone direct me to where I/ we can find records prior to that date including 1. Initial Holding 2. dividends through the earlier years 3. Number of shares acquired with each dividend 4. deemed price of each batch of shares in 3 above.
Link provided all this but I guess were not involved prior to 2002
As I implied earlier this issue will have been a common enough one over the years..
