I think your assumption that ev sales will fall in a recession is wrong from the start. New car sales will probably fall and new ICE car sales will probably be hit the hardest while EV sales continue to increase proportionally and exponentially. There's already 18month waiting times for some models and plenty of reasons to switch for those still buying new cars in a recession. EVs and batteries are the smart phone of the 2020's.
