You may be right. I attended the Bioshares Summit held in Albury back at the start of May 2022. Stuart Roberts a seasoned and respected biotech analyst who has been an avid supporter of (as well as an absolute optimist on) Australian biotech for many years made the comment during one of the forums that he expected biotech to have an extremely difficult time in the second half of 2022, but expected 2023 to be something of a renaissance for biotech. He has proved correct with the first half of his prediction! Interestingly enough when he made the comment a number of attendees at the conference were almost taken aback given he is known as such an optimist on biotech.
